Documents and Oral Histories

From 2012 through 2014, Jessica traveled with photographer Yan Wang throughout the western and eastern shoreline of the United States documenting, photographing, and interviewing a network of contributors to the journal CoEvolution Quarterly(1974-1984). Motivated by environmental concerns, ethics, or the global issue of resource scarcity, the group chose to build prototypical structures from local materials, integrated with new technologies such as solar power and energy conservation techniques. The structures portrait a moment of man's role in natural processes and in the emerging environmental issues of the time.
